Day 23

7/30/12 - Today was rough.  Poor little Jasper was running a low grade fever, so Mommy, Jude, and Jasper jumped into the car and headed to the pediatrician.  By the end of the day, Jasper was much more alert and seemingly feeling better.

Day 22

7/29/12 - Today was one of those adventures that nobody enjoys.  Jasper woke up at 4 AM with a cough and congestion, which continued throughout the day.  Being that we tend to stay home, with the exception of a couple outings, it seems that Jude may have gotten something from preschool and brought it home to "share" with his brother.  This has been very frustrating and obviously raises the question: "If your kid is sick, why are you sending them to school?!"  But Mommy and Daddy are hopeful that since little Jasper has breastfed exclusively (and frequently) since birth, he should be able to fight this off quickly.  In the evening, we spent some time at Papa Mike and Mama Kalyn's house to celebrate Mommy's brother Brandon's fabulous girlfriend Michelle's (aka "Bozo" thanks to Jude) birthday.  Despite Jasper not feeling well, it was great to spend time with family.

Day 21 - THREE WEEKS OLD!!!

7/28/12 - Today was a BIG day in the Rivas household!!!  Jasper FINALLY had his first bath, which actually made his hair look even blonder!!!  And then we had two VERY special guests, Mommy and Daddy's friends Nick and Vicki, who recently got engaged!!!  Jasper spent a lot of time bonding with Vicki, and Jude was super excited to see Nick and show him everything...especially his iPad.  As always, it was so good to see them and we are so excited for them to be getting married!!!
